Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP)
The Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) offers dental coverage through a federal initiative designed for qualifying Canadian residents. This program serves individuals and families without existing dental insurance who earn less than $90,000 in adjusted annual household income.
ELIGIBILTY CRITERIA
CDCP eligibility requires meeting all these essential requirements:

No existing dental coverage, including:

Workplace benefits or health spending accounts

The CDCP reimburses dental treatments according to predetermined CDCP fee schedules, which often vary from standard provincial dental pricing.

Renewal Information for Current CDCP Members
CDCP Renewal Reminder - Due June 1, 2025: Active CDCP beneficiaries must renew their dental coverage each year by completing their 2024 tax return and receiving their Notice of Assessment.

Late renewal results in benefit suspension starting June 30, 2025. Although reinstatement is available, dental treatments during the lapse period are not eligible for reimbursement."
